Iced Coffee Vending Machine in A Tourist Attraction in Yunnan

Project Background
In June 2025, a scenic area in Lijiang, Yunnan, installed two JK86 iced coffee vending machines at a rest area at an altitude of approximately 1,400 meters to enhance the visitor service experience.

Equipment Configuration and Operation
The machines are equipped with independent ice compressors and offer a variety of beverage options, including Yunnan small-grain iced latte, jasmine iced coffee, and iced Americano. Each cup has a capacity of 300 milliliters and is made from biodegradable corn fiber material. The payment system supports WeChat Pay and Alipay QR code payments.

Operational Management
The scenic area’s operations department is responsible for daily maintenance, with restocking and equipment checks conducted twice daily at 7:00 AM and 4:00 PM. Each machine has an ice-making capacity of 80 kilograms per day, sufficient to meet the demand during peak high-temperature periods.

Usage Data
Data from the first month of operation (July 2025) shows that the two machines achieved a combined average daily sales volume of 45–60 cups. Sales peaks occurred between 10:30–11:30 AM (accounting for 30% of daily sales) and 2:00–3:30 PM (accounting for 45% of daily sales). Among the local specialty beverages, jasmine iced coffee had the highest sales share (38%), followed by Yunnan small-grain iced latte (33%). On days when the temperature exceeded 25°C, daily sales could reach over 80 cups.
